So yesterday; July, 20th, 2009, was a series premier of a documentary named "16 and was pregnant". I heard it was currently the highest rated show in the U.S, so I thought I would check it out. My first intentions of this documentary was a diray of a 16 year old pregnant teenager, maybe Jamie-Lyn Spears would feature in it. And that's what's 16 and pregnant pretty much is about, a normal teenage girl, but pregnant, with-out Jamie.
The first girl we follow is Farrah, a cheerleader from west Iowa. When Farrah discovered she was pregnant she was advised to put her baby up for adoption. To my AMAZEMENT Farrah wanted to keep this baby
Your 16 and you wanna' keep your baby. Clearly she did not know what she was in for. oh. And did I mention Farrah bails on the baby's father, who is also believed to be 16 aswell. Farrah, purposely tells the baby father, "I'm not pregnant", how stupid are you? You want to be a single mother?
So the baby is born and named Sophia, she's a girl. It's only been about a week and Sophia is driving Farrah nuts. I don't she why she chooses to juggle school, work, and Sophia all together, as a single mother, when she's 16? But the most shocking part of the show is when Farrah and her mother are driving to a car dealership.
So during the drive the mother is trying to give Farrah some words of wisdom, until she was interupted by Farrahs disrespectful quote "Shut up mom" followed by the "your dumb". How do you have the heart to call the woman who brought you into this world dumb. It was dumb for the mom to give birth to this disgusting child. the mom pulled over and Farrah comes out the car, and get's a ride from a grandparent back home.
So if you like watching out of control teens, I recommend you to check this show out
